Robert muchinsky is a famous American contemporary pianist,composer and music educator.His music creation and music education achieved great success.In the music creation aspect,has left behind "the first symphony","the first piano concerto" and so on famous works,in the music education aspect,he has trained one batch to the piano music,the composition has the intense interest numerous students.Mochinsky wrote the famous flute and piano sonatas op.14 from 1960 to 1961 and these three preludes op.18 shortly after that.This paper discusses the work analysis,writing style and playing skills of the three preludes of muchinsky.The purpose is to let the readers master the music style characteristics of muchinsky's flute works,as well as understand the value of modern music works.
