Study On The Singing Of Ancient Poetry Art Song "Guan Ju"

"Guan Ju",the opening work of the Confucian classic "The Book of Songs",is known a sthe "China's Top One Poem".Confucius commented on it "Express Enjoyment Without Indulgence and Express Grief Without Excessive Distresst." At the modern times,Mr.Zhao Jiping composed a song with the words from "Guan Ju".This piece of work adopts the traditional Chinese rhyme as ground color and uses the standard paradigm of Western art songs to be written in contemporary composing techniques.It has a beautiful melody and elegant character,which is a classic ancient poetry and art song that has been widely sung.This paper will conduct the discussion with the combination of the author's signing experience in the master's graduation concert.The full text consists of three parts: introduction,main body,and conclusion.The main body includes three chapters.The first chapter is the introduction of the composer and the work,Guan Ju.Thesecond chapter analyzes the singing techniques,such as tone,breath,pronunciation,and moistening cavity.The third chapter combines the above analysis to analyze the emotional tone of Guan Ju and the emotional processing of each phrase during singing.Through singing practice and study,the author has a deeper understanding of the artistic characteristics and aesthetic value of ancient poetry artistic songs and summarizes them,hoping that this paper can help and inspire vocal music learners.
