Study On Guan Weixing's Watercolor Painting And The Illustration Of "My Memories Of Old Beijing"

Watercolor painting is the main type of painting in China,and it is a young painting type.Based on literature review,museum visits and interviews with artists,this study summarizes the basic situation of watercolor painting in China.Through research,we found that watercolor painting could be used as a free drawing art,and can be used as a text illustration in books.Especially in the field of children's books,watercolor illustration is showing a vigorous development trend.In the course of the study,we take Mr.Guan Weixing's watercolor painting as an example to make an in-depth analysis.Guan Weixing,a watercolor painter,has created a large number of watercolor works.He also created a series of illustrations of “MY MEMORIES OF OLD BEIJING” for children's readers.Through the study of Mr.Guan Weixing's watercolor and watercolor illustrations and the works of other Watercolor Painters,the most important spiritual connotation is the understanding of "artistic conception" in Chinese traditional aesthetic.Watercolor painting,especially watercolor illustration,is an important feature of constructing a corresponding picture context according to the theme.The important point of illustration is to let the viewer get aesthetic pleasure in the scene constructed by the picture.
