Research On The Course Of Self-learning App Based M-learning In College English

Today’s English teaching has witnessed an important currency,which is teaching based on mobile terminations.Exemplified by New College English,a series of textbooks with self-learning APPs,published by Shanghai Foreign Language Education Press,the paper analyses the application of self-learning APPs.In the light of relevant theories,it explores the possibility of efficient learning with help of auxiliary APPs.Firstly,the thesis systematically analyzed the existing problems of college English learning and the current situation of English learning based on mobile terminations.Secondly,referring to relevant theories of mobile learning and learning needs,this paper proposes a suggestive design of how to apply APPs to college English learning,and also investigate the status of self-learning APPs on the basis of two years’ application.In the last part,it presents a case study about English teaching with self-learning APPs in Hangzhou Normal University.Self-learning APPs are introduced to students before class,in class and after class.Summaries are made and analyzed according to students’ achievements,questionnaires and interviews.A preliminary research shows that the introduction of self-learning APPs into college English teaching plays a positive role in college students’ English learning.It has improved students’ grades,raised their interest in English learning effectively and thus motivated their learning.In view of development and application,this paper explores how to apply self-learning APPs to college English teaching practice and practice in class.With an in-depth understanding of the application of accompanying APPs it may provide a new theoretical perspective and practical guidance for college English learning.
