The Theory Of Fictional Objects And Fictional Discourse

The study of fictional objects and fictional discourse is in the ascendant at home and abroad,which is worth further summarizing,studying and discussing.The purpose of this paper is to present our own understanding of fictional objects and discourses on the basis of a full summary of previous studies.The article generally follows the history of retrospection and summarizes the research thinking of reflection.Fiction theory is systematically collated and summarized by comparative research and multi-disciplinary research methods.On the whole,the thesis adopts the research method of "first summarizing and then dividing into parts".First,it outlines the framework and issues of the study on the whole,and then discusses each sub-topic in detail.This paper reviews the changes of the status of the study of fiction in the history of philosophy,and expounds the significance of the study of the linguistic philosophy of fiction in the fields of philosophical ontology,epistemology and logical philosophy.This study supports view of the moderate realists that names can refer not only to objects in the real world,but also to objects in the world of fiction or people's conceptual world.The semantic and pragmatic analysis of the reference and meaning of fictional proper names and generic names shows that both fictional proper names and generic names have reference and meaning,and their reference refers to a direct relationship between linguistic symbols and specific fictional objects.Fiction in literary works,including proper names and generic names,comes from the author's naming process.By telling stories,the author gives all kinds of characteristics and the process of giving objects is the process of giving proper names.The analysis of the meaning of fictitious utterances shows that the propositions or ideas expressed by fictitious sentences are the connotation of fictitious utterances and their true values are the reference of fictitious utterances.To understand the meaning of fictional discourse correctly,we must combine the connotation,speech act,intentionality and Communicativeness of discourse.The analysis of fictional linguistic philosophy shows that the descriptive theory of names and the theory of causal history can complement each other in explaining fictional names and explain the meanings of fictional objects and sentences together.The theoretical significance of this study is to enrich and develop fiction theory by exploring the important role of fiction in philosophy,logical philosophy and literary theory research.The practical significance lies in the justification of the rationality of the nomination and meaning of fictional names,which improves the effectiveness of the creation of fictional works.
