This paper mainly uses the concept of "cognitive mapping" put forward by Jameson in the 1990 s to reconstruct the cognitive framework of late capitalism and interpret Li Bihua’s texts contextually, expecting to map the realistic significance of Li Bihua’s historical narrative in the post-modern context. The first chapter analyses the historicity of Li Bihua’s texts from the narrative level, including the strategy of new story compilation, the novel narrative strategy of traversing, and the sense of family reflected in the historical narrative, which corresponds to Hong Kong in the 1980 s and 1990 s.The Second chapter begins to relate the context of globalization and reveals the post-modernist features of the texts such as "Green Snake" and "Pan Jinlian’s Past Life and Present Life".At the same time,in connection with the Hong Kong society,it illustrates that the history retrospected in Li Bihua’s texts is only deep commercial history according to Jameson’s late capitalist theory. The third chapter uses Jameson’s cognitive mapping theory to affirm the spatial narrative form of post-modernism,and through the analysis of ‘Rouge’ and ‘A Terracotta Warrior’,to map the realistic meaning of Li Bihua’s historical narrative in the post-modern context.Through the discussion of the above chapters,it reveals the deep political unconsciousness of cultural texts, which is the product of the movement of social economy and political power, and returns to social reality and political practice in the process of ideological containment of disenchantment and the awakening of Utopian desire,so as to enable the subjects to regain the ability of struggle and action. At the same time,it also provides new research ideas for the interpretation of postmodern historical texts.
