In terms of the progress of the film of Hou Hsiao-hsien,it starts form the period of "new film" in Taiwan.As a recognized flag bearer of the "new film" of Taiwan,the main image space of Hou Hsiao-hsien is "a more open reality in Taiwan".In other words,his film works present a kind of daily de-dramatic aesthetic style in the aspects of narrative,lens language and so on through the construction of everyday scenes.However,it can release the "Temps Mort" of what Gilles Deleuze believes in the trivial and even dull daily scenes constructed by Hou Hsiao-hsien.It is because that Hou Hsiao-hsien does not simply document the reality of life,while it is the complex structure of time and space under the ordinary picture of his works.In this paper,it will try to explore this unique daily aesthetics in the works of Hou Xiaoxian,which includes how it is constructed in the works of Hou Hsiao-hsien with what kinds of lens language,narrative form and other artistic techniques.It also explores the unique elements of his works that express this daily nature and where his aesthetic origins come from.To answer the above questions,it will introduce the image theory of Gilles Deleuze as the theoretical basis and theoretical tool in this paper.
