| Medical series is a very important subgenre in Chinese TV series.As an industry TV series with intense plots,it has been favored by the audience for many years.In the new century,especially after 2010,a large number of medical TV series emerged.Medical TV series not only shoulder the responsibility of reproducing the status quo of the medical industry,but also shape and constructs the audience's cognition and imagination of the medical system,doctor-patient relationship and the social reality.In addition,the male and female employees which medical drama shaped in the hospital have become the image sought after and recognized by the audience.Therefore,this article is based on the multiple construction effect of the medical TV series to the social reality,adopts gender studies,psychoanalysis,power theory,class theory,consumption theory and ideology theory synthetically,with medical TV series characters,plot development and special phenomenon as the research objects,through in-depth case text and theoretical analysis,detailed synchronic comparison and diachronic exploration,inspected the representation of discourse such as gender,class,power,ideology in Chinese medical TV series,exposed the nature of the patriarchal culture and the impression of ideological hegemony and social discrimination.The first chapter reveals the patriarchal system that hidden behind the gender landscape,through the comparison between the female chief with performativity to "transgender" and male doctor with stereotypes of flawless returnees and Ph.D,and points out that the objective living circumstances of the female are more difficult and it exists a male recessive control mechanism for self protection and rhetoric purpose in the society with growing consumerism,through the historical transmutation of femininity and masculinity.The second chapter takes gender politics as a higher entry point.First,it discusses the double standards and paradoxes of male power to middle-class female doctors,and the exhaustion and injustice of women in the patriarchal game rules in the new era.Second,by summarizing the medical TV series,I expounds a kind of "organ transplant" narrative mode that is closely related to the power relationship between the two genders.Subsequently,a classified anatomy of the power operation between the genders in medical TV series was carried out,including arrogation of women,suppression of patriarchy,"legalization" of male infidelity,sexual freedom,demise of marriage and reproductive rights,etc.,so as to multidimensionally verify the formal change of power control from domination to consumption of female in male power discourse,and the ever-changing and increasingly fierce male hegemony behind it.Finally,I put the power theory into a broader perspective beyond gender to explore the broader multi-dimensional power representation in the medical TV series,and emphatically demonstrated the class representation,emergency department discrimination,the competition between the right to operate and the right to personnel,and the doctor's discipline on the patient body,and triggered some thoughts on foucault's power theory.The research perspective of the third chapter has been continuously improved.The previous two chapters respectively explored the character image and temperament of medical drama and the gender politics and micro power in the drama,based on such research basis,the third chapter puts the research starting point above the ideology.By discussing three pairs of metaphor: the lancet and Phyllis,AIDS and dirt,the hegemony of hospital system and infinite replication,the third chapter analyzes the representation of the decisive ideological discourse that pervade every corner of medical drama,including penis worship,castration anxiety,discrimination against AIDS,disregard of homosexuals,repression to the otherness of the patients and gaze of ruthless discipline and so on.In the end,I expose the shocking and disappointing true identity of heterosexual male hegemony in medical TV series. |
