Krashen's second language acquisition theory is widely used in English teaching,especially the input hypothesis.This study applies this theory to junior high school listening teaching,which will help reduce burden and increase efficiency and improve the efficiency of English listening classroom.This paper discusses the different scholars' understanding and different views on Krashen's second language acquisition,combs the common methods and corresponding strategies of listening teaching,tries to combine Krashen's theory and listening teaching methods,and finds the most suitable listening teaching for junior high school students.The author selects one experimental class and one control class.In the experimental class,English listening teaching is carried out based on Krashen's second language acquisition theory,while the control class still uses the traditional listening teaching method.The study raises two research questions:(1)What is the effective input in the process of listening teaching for junior high school students?(2)Based on the Krashen's Input Hypothesis,in what way can we improve the listening performance of junior high school students? This study chose questionnaires and test methods for all subjects.And the data are collected through questionnaires and tests and analyzed to find out whether the results of the experimental and control categories produced significant differences before and after the experiment.This study found that junior high school students' attitude towards English listening is positive and can actively respond to listening teaching currently.However,students have certain problems with their listening knowledge points and keywords.Based on Krashen's input hypothesis,a motivation and their listening competence can be improved for the students.It is also helpful to make the junior high school students more interest in English listening.Some major implications are summarized as follows:(a)Varieties of classroom activities are required which can arouse the junior high school students' interest effectively.(b)Classroom activities should be organized based on students-centeredness.The listening materials must be selected according to the students' current level,so that their anxiety in English listening learning can be reduced.(c)For listening teaching of the slow students,i-1 teaching method can help them to become confident.
