| This thesis consists of three parts,namely,the source text of People and Nature:An Introduction to Human Ecological Relations,its Chinese version and translation report.The source text of this translation practice is excerpted from the 5thand 6th chapters of the book.Chapter Five(What Makes People Do That)mainly introduces how the reciprocal interactions between people and nature have developed in a systematic and scientific way,the urgency for action now to prevent truly disastrous consequences,and to make the reader reflect as to how we might go about doing so.Chapter Six(Population and Environment)provides an up-to-date discussion of the challenge to sustainability coming from growing population.Therefore,this translation practice offers an insight into more cutting-edge achievements for researches on domestic scholars in some related fields.The translation report comprises four parts: task description,process description,case analysis and conclusion of this translation practice.Based on Eco-translatology and combined with specific cases,the practice is completed from three dimensions:linguistic dimension,cultural dimension and communicative dimension.The ecological relationship between people and nature is the theme of the translation practice,which aims to provide up-to-date academic findings for relevant fields and offers some valuable references on the construction of ecological civilization in Guizhou.Meanwhile,through this translation practice,the translator also realizes the importance of mastering translation theory and skills. |
