With China's modernization and urbanization process,the image of modern drifters gradually emerges from the historical surface.Modernized city is the centralized representative of modernity.The wanderer who struggles to survive in the city is a kind of character image that can not be ignored.The appearance of such character image is related to the Chinese people's pursuit of the ideal of modernity.People themselves need to separate their own traditions and their own past.This process is not accomplished overnight.The past always influences the present and the future.Pain and ideals are often associated with the good dreams,strong,self-serving,and individual strangers represented by Camel Xiangzi.They are either corroded by the environment in which they live,or become passers-by and reflective in the place where they live.The success and failure of City Migrant Rovers in the new century and their paradox of survival similar to that of modern artists reflect the truth of social history.The cities they face are capital-controlled modern cities,and they can not jump out of the urban network woven by capital..A large number of writers are rootless strangers in cities in real life,so they will project their subjective feelings and human ecology on the characters in their novels.There are also some writers who have a strong sense of social problems and describe objectively the economic embarrassment and rootless generation in society.In the long run,material power has always influenced the spiritual trend,and the economic rootless can not maintain their own cultural roots.This article firmly grasps the existential dilemma and spiritual characteristics of urban outsiders in the new century literature,and then grasps the aesthetic implications of such images.This paper consists of five parts.The introduction describes the topic selection and research background,combs the domestic research situation of the closely related issues,and puts forward the innovation of the paper.The first chapter defines the image of Urban Migrant Wanderers,analyses the reasons for its formation,and outlines the historical evolution of the image of Urban Migrant Wanderers since modern literature.The second chapter is based on a large number of works to analyze the spiritual characteristics of Urban Migrant Wanderers in order to tap their aesthetic uniqueness.The first section is to divide the life demands expressed in the works from their real life level.The second section is to analyze their representation of existence from the text level.The third chapter is to explore the value of such images in an all-round way.On the basis of the second chapter,this chapter attempts to summarize the aesthetic value,social value,literary history value of urban external wanderers,and the value of contemporary writers' writing.
