As the basic myth in Plato's works, the myth of chariot reveals Plato's four basic theories--immortality of soul, eidos(Idealism),the doctrine of reminiscence, love(eros). There is a distinction between love and reason in human soul, the divine ecstasy is actually the metaphysical impulse of the soul; There is a conflict between the reason, temperance, and bravery that make up the soul, the harmony and order of the soul can be maintained only when reason is in the leading position. The soul is divided into nine types, and according to memory makes a choice between different life types--up or down, reward or punishment, the soul is responsible for its choices. The soul is actually erotic,It begins with the lust for beautiful young men,and finally face the ideas of beauty, the soul set foot on a road of ascension.Civilization is to stimulate the soul of the potential desire to guide the soul to the integrity of the world and the true desire. In the process, the soul will eventually gain knowledge of itself. The criticism of rhetoric shows the tension between myth and logos philosophy. In the process of practical enlightenment,The method should be individualized,in the face of rational or irrational souls, adopting logical or mythological methods to realize the soul's rising and turning. The combination of philosophy and love makes philosophy get rid of the dilemma that natural philosophers and wise men faced in the city-state.Plato through the image of Socrates as a philosopher full of love and lust, makes philosophy get rid of both Aristophanes' accusation of imprudence and Protagoras-style recklessness of the nature of soul.In this sense,Socratic-Platonic philosophy finally achieved the transcendence of politics. This article is through--the first part: the story connotation of chariot myth; The second part: the myth of chariot essentially reveals the rising course of soul; The third part: the soul ascends is the love desire paideia fundamentally, the paideia must pay attention to the method;Part four: the most difficult problem for the soul to face is the danger of realpolitik.
