This translation report is based on the fourth chapter of ECO-TRANSLATION:Translation and Ecology in the Age of the Anthropocene by Michael Cronin, which was published by Routledge in February 2017.In this chapter,it introduces the impact of the development of science and technology on human life and ecology, and the role translation plays in this process. It is the reaction to the transformation of social civilization in translation studies. The translation practice can awaken people's attention to ecology and maintain the sustainable development of human society. The translator chooses Skopos theory as the theoretical foundation,it focuses on the purpose of translation, emphasizing the use of different translation strategies and methods according to different translation effects. Therefore, the translator tries to figure out the specific content of each part in the translation process, and adjusts the translation strategies to achieve the best results. The translation report is divided into four parts: the first chapter introduces the source of source text, task background, research purpose and significance, and the structure of the report;the second chapter is mainly about the process description, including the introduction of the theory, analysis of text content and every stage of the translation process;the third chapter is the case analysis, that is,the theory and practice part; The fourth chapter is the conclusion, including translation experience, lessons learned and problems to be solved.
