A Comparative Study On Chinese And Thai Of Body Part Metaphor Words

Metaphors exist in our daily life,and interact with culture at all times.Language itself is a kind of cultural power and cultural pattern.People have learned this language from a young age,and they have deeply incorporated the cultural symbols into their own thoughts.This paper makes a contrastive study of the use and expression of Chinese and Thai human metaphors.It is found that both Chinese and Thai have semantic representation in the form of human metaphor.People use unconsciously some human body related words in daily life,but they do not realize that they are metaphorical.Metaphor is a common form of metaphor in life.The daily language of Chinese and Thai people is inseparable from metaphor.From the point of view of the earth,China and Thailand are far apart.The two countries have their own unique long history and splendid culture,but in the use of metaphor,there are many similarities between the Chinese and Thai languages,especially the metaphorical use of human words.The purpose of this paper is to introduce metaphorinto the original meaning of human body words.There are many forms of human metaphor,such as humanized metaphor,temporal metaphor,location metaphor,organ metaphor,etc.This paper,using the relevant knowledge of cognitive linguistics,analyzes the corpus of human words and idioms in the Chinese Thai language,analyzes the similarities and differences of human metaphors in Chinese and Thai,and compares the similarities and differences between the language and culture of China and Thailand to promote the communication of language and culture between the two countries,and this article through the metaphor of human body.
