As the Yunnan University student number increasing,Lao students social culture to adapt to the in-depth and meticulous research,find out main factors affecting the social and cultural adaptation,find Lao students social culture to adapt to the development of the similarities and differences in China,to help students understand the Laos himself in study and life to adapt to the situation,avoid or adjust in the process of social and cultural adaptation difficulties and frustration becomes especially important.In this paper,a questionnaire survey was conducted on the social and cultural adaptation of 269 Lao students in Yunnan University,and the correlation analysis and variance analysis of the survey data were conducted using SPSS.Found from the analysis:first,the social culture to adapt to the degree of difficulty for students studing abroad overall belongs to the average level,social culture to adapt to the problem is not serious,including gender,age,record of formal schooling,before coming to China to go abroad experience and different sources of funds for social cultural adaptation of international students in China there is no significant effect.Second,the length of study in yunnan university,the degree of understanding of Chinese culture and the level of Chinese language have a significant impact on the social and cultural adaptation of students coming to China.Third,Chinese nationals in China are an important source of support for the social and cultural adaptation of Lao students,and the support of Chinese friends and Chinese teachers is not significant.On the results of the investigation,the paper puts forward several pertinent Suggestions:first,optimize students consulting support system for students in Laos before entrance education,can choose in the early stage of the admission or early school,lets the student at the same time of strengthening know about China,learn some more practical realistic life information,by improving the understanding of Chinese culture,enhance the social cultural adaptation of international students.Second,strengthen the international student service and management of social and cultural communication skills training,thus reducing the misunderstandings and unpleasant in the process of contacts with students,and enhance the degree of acceptance and welcome to study in different country.Third,to strengthen the training of students in social and cultural adaptability,for international students better adapt to life and learning in China to lay a solid foundation,increase the degree of acceptance on Chinese society and culture.Fourth,the establishment of diverse student community organization,actively carry out campus off-campus activities,thereby promoting social and cultural adaptation of international students,more conducive to solve the difficulties and problems encountered in the process of adaptation,and more conducive to communicate with Chinese students,improve the social and cultural adaptability.
