On The Singing Points Of Ancient Poetry And Art Songs From The Art Song Chai Tou Feng

Poetic songs are one of the unique art forms in Chinese music.In recent years,due to the proliferation of Chinese traditional culture and core values,there has been a growing taste among the audiences towards poetic songs.One of the most well-known works of such is Chai Tou Feng created by Zhou Yi and Lu You,which exemplifies the characteristics of Chinese poetic songs.Thus,Chai Tou Feng is used as the study subject for this analysis.This analysis will be divided into three chapters based on the creation and the performance aspects of the song.The first chapter lays background for the analysis by introducing Chinese poets and the song writer,Lu You.The following chapter examines the composition of Chai Tou Feng in terms of its poetic lyrics with relations to Chinese culture.The last chapter recommends relevant performance techniques to handle such poetic songs to bring out the artistry within.
