A Cultural Interpretation Of Hollywood Disaster Films From The Perspective Of Anthropocene

The development of special effects technology has created a good development space for the film production,and has also given birth to a large number of movies with profound ideological content into the audience's field of vision,creating a global film market with rich and diverse themes.The Hollywood disaster movie has ushered in the Golden Age with its unique aesthetic style.The academic discussion on disaster movies is very diverse,and the thinking on human society,nature and technologies are deepening gradually.Disaster Movies show disaster scenes by means of image through the ups and downs of the story to convey a unique cultural connotation.Hollywood disaster movies explore the philosophical issues of human life and death by depicting the disaster process,fully showing the inner linkage between human beings and the external environment.This thesis will be divided into four parts,the first part,this paper introduces Hollywood disaster movies and the Anthropocene,points out the main topics of the Anthropocene,and focuses on the subjective expression of human beings in the Anthropocene The third part,from the view of life,reveals the characteristics of human life and the changes that are taking place at present,and probes into the new life with the help of the film This paper sums up the present situation and predicament of disaster film creation,discusses the subjective predicament of human beings in human history,and sums up how the film gives the answer to escaping from the human history.In the course of writing,the author criticizes and interprets the theme and characters of some disaster movies in order to analyze the human crisis in the Anthropocene more comprehensively.How to look on the end of the Anthropocene and the common concern of the film,the film is how to solve how from the Anthropocene to negative way of the Anthropocene.
