The English Curriculum Standards for Senior High Schools(2017)attaches much importance to applying modern information technology and enriching English learning resources.Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge(TPACK)is the basis for English teachers to apply technology to teaching effectively,while the innovativeness is the individual's acceptance of new technology.Therefore,this study mainly investigates the current situation of pre-service English teachers' innovativeness and TPACK,and discusses the relationship between them.This research intends to answer the following three questions: 1)What are the overall situations of the pre-service English teachers' innovativeness and their TPACK? 2)Are there any relationships between the pre-service English teachers' innovativeness and their TPACK? If so,to what extent can the pre-service English teachers' innovativeness contribute to their TPACK? 3)What are the factors influencing the pre-service English teachers' innovativeness?By means of questionnaire and semi-structured interview,the author investigates 334 pre-service English teachers in Guizhou province.For quantitative data,SPSS software was employed and Descriptive Statistics,Correlation Analysis and Multiple Regression Analysis were conducted to analyze the data.For the qualitative data,Thematic Analysis was used.The findings convey that the innovativeness and TPACK of pre-service English teachers were at a high level.The innovativeness of pre-service English teachers was positively correlated with TPACK level,and innovativeness of pre-service English teachers can effectively promote their TPACK level.The factors influencing pre-service English teachers' innovativeness include internal factors(attitude,interest,anxiety and critical thinking)and external factors(parents' attitude,teachers' attitude and environment).Accordingly,the author puts forward two suggestions for pre-service English teachers:(1)Expand channels to receive modern information technology;(2)Carry out teaching practice based on TPACK.
