Kiran Desai is a famous immigrant female writer in India and one of the representative writers of Indian English literature. In 2006,she won the British Booker Literature Award for her novel "The inheritance of loss" and became the youngest female winner in the history of the award. In this novel,Desai constantly travels through two parallel spaces in Asia and Europe, profoundly depicting the emotions of ordinary Indians, topics such as economic inequality,post-colonial immigration and multiculturalism. The thinking of the post-colonial era in this work has attracted the attention of the critics. This paper takes this work as an example and analyzes the "writing back" problem of Kiran Desai from the perspective of post-colonialism,and tries to reveal the way and purpose of the author's "Empier Writes Back".The paper is divided into the following parts:The first chapter is the preface, which mainly introduces the postcolonial theory of the "writing back" and the feasibility of the Kiran Desai contest to write the"writing back".The second chapter mainly analyzes how to achieve the goal of the "the Empires writes back" from the angle of the backward writing of the "writing back the empire".This is a part of the disuse and appropriation of the two aspects to deal with the language reverse writing in the The Inheritance of Loss. This chapter deals with the transfer of Indian native languages and English,as well as the metonymy behind the metonymy of traditional Indian culture. The third chapter analyzes the way of the text control in the work from the angle of the text reset, and reveals the mix of the work and the disorder of the imperial center. The fourth chapter starts from the perspective of the reverse of culture, from the content of the works and the characters. It analyzes the "writing back" of imperial culture. This chapter is to expand Kiran's "The Empiers Writes Back' angle, and to deepen the understanding of Kiran Desai's cultural view and world outlook. This paper hopes to open up a new angle for this work by studying The inheritance of loss from the perspective of "writing back",and promote the study of the novel The inheritance of loss at home and abroad.and deepen the readers, understanding of Kiran's post-colonial writing.
