As a diligent and productive contemporary writer.Wang Anyi’s works are rich.Especially since the 1990s,when many writers in the 1980s who were in the same period as Wang Anyi encountered a writing crisis,Wang Anyi broke out again with amazing creativity.After a year of silence in the late 1980s and early 1990s,Wang Anyi created the"Uncle’s Story".In contrast to the previous style of creation,she examined the different mental states and dilemmas of the two generations of intellectuals in a calm brush stroke.The transformation of Wang Anyi in the early 1990s was clearly visible,not only in the form of style,but also in the ideological content.Along with these changes,Wang Anyi pushed the problems of writing and interpretation to readers and literary commentators.How do we face the transformation of Wang Anyi in the late 1980s and early 1990s?How has her thoughts changed during this period?What does her creative transformation mean for the writer himself?Or,on a larger level,what kind of problems does Wang Anyi face during this period?What does she want to respond to through change?These questions are not only important for understanding Wang Anyi’s creations in the 1990s but also for the present.Moreover,for Wang Anyi,a writer who cares about the reality and cares about society,understanding her transformation in the early 1990s can bring out the end of the 1980s.The exploration of social transformation in the early 1990s.Conversely,understanding Wang Anyi on the level of social history may better confirm the importance of Wang Anyi’s creative transformation.This article takes the understanding of Wang Anyi’s creative transformation as the starting point and tries to clean up the social transformation in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
