Brush and ink,the essence of Chinese painting,is a special modelling language created by Chinese painters to express their feelings.In Guo Xi's Early Spring,He skillfully uses the extremely rich changes of brush and ink to show a vivid scene of early spring.This thesis,based on the research and analysis of brush and ink in Guo Xi's Early Spring,can help us deeply understand the skillfully use of brush and ink and learn how to innovatively apply that skill in my creation of the Four Seasons.First,this paper outlines the uniqueness of Chinese traditional ink and brush language.This part illustrates the uniqueness of Chinese traditional brush and ink language by analyzing the abundant brushwork performance in Zhang Xuan's "Madame Twin's Spring Picture" and Qi Baishi's "Frog Sound Ten Miles Out of Mountain Spring".It shows that Chinese traditional brush and ink language does not rely on the real subjects,but shows its theme through unique brush and ink techniques.Zhang Xuan did not paint a specific spring in the painting,but expressed a scene of spring outing;Qi Baishi did not paint a specific frog and dozens of miles in the painting,but appreciators can "hear" the sound of frogs from dozens of miles of streams.Secondly,the uniqueness and epochal characteristic of brush and ink element in Guo Xi's Early Spring Pictures are analyzed.Guo Xi's early spring painting perfectly inherits the uniqueness of Chinese brush and ink element,and the author innovatively combines the brush and ink with the times to create a novel brush and ink language that conforms to the aesthetics of the times.This paper analyses the uniqueness of the brush and ink elements in Guo Xi's Early Spring Picture and the relationship between the expression of brush and ink and the development of the times,and sums up the epochal characteristic of the Chinese brush and ink language.Then it analyses the expression of the unique brush and ink language of mountains,stones,trees and clouds in Early Spring Pictures.For example,he uses cirrus cloud texturing methods to show the texture and dark side of mountains and stones,ink accumulation method to show the level and structure of mountains and stones,crab claw branches to show the vigor of pine trees,ink adherence to white,and sketch cloud method to show the vagueness of clouds and the height of mountains.In his paintings,his brush and ink are varied,and his moist ink shows a picture of the early spring from winter to spring.The studied of the brush and ink techniques in early spring picture helped me a lot to create the Four Seasons Picture.Finally,I mainly elaborated the enlightenment and influence of the brush and ink techniques in Early Spring Picture on my creation of Four Seasons Picture,and introspected and summarized the problems encountered in the creation process.I combined the brush and ink languages of Guo Xi's Early Spring Picture and modern landscape painting to form my own brush and ink languages,then completed the creation of the Four Seasons Picture.
