Vladimir Nabokov is a famous Russian-American writer in the 20th century. His novels are a valuable asset in the human literature library.Pale Fire,Ada or Ardor:A Family Chronicle,Transparent Thing and Look at the Harlequins!.The four novels, intentionally break the linear structure to present a unique spatial form, focusing on the visual pattern and physical space in the content. This thesis analyzes them from the perspective of spatial narrative theory.Focusing on the narrative structure of the novels, the space and image description of the novel story content and the three-dimensional open reading space constructed by the novel text. From the perspective of the text layer,Nabokov's later novels have distinct spatial forms.Nabokov's later novels have a unique double helix and a nested narrative structure through the cross-narration of multiple narrators and the interlacing of multiple layers of text. From the content layer, there are a lot of pictures and physical space in Nabokov's later novels. An important aspect of spatial narratology is the portrayal of space. At the same time,Nabokov applied his outstanding painting talent to the creation of novels. Therefore,a large number of two-dimensional visual patterns appeared in his later novels. The novels with obvious spatial narrative features have consciously broken the sequence and logical order. It poses a great challenge to readers.Nabokov's later novels summon the readers to read repeatedly, expecting the ideal readers to grasp the works as a whole by reflecting the reference and intertextual vision.Through the combing of the space narrative theory, the paper analyzes the Nabokov's works with a more appropriate angle and reveals the spatial narrative features in Nabokov's later novels, thus expanding the multi-interpretation of Nabokov's novels and appreciating its unique aesthetic meaning.
