In the writing history of modern Chinese local novels,"East Zhejiang Writers" are an important group, their local novels show the historical changes of the East Zhejiang Rural Society in detail.Wang Luyan,Xu Jie,Xu Qinwen,Baren,Wang Xiyan and Rou Shi's rural politics, economy and ethics in their works have presented a common picture of "Rural Society" in the course of historical development As a regional memory written by the same cultural group,it has witnessed the cultural tradition of Wu and Yue for thousands of years, and witnessed the vicissitudes of modern China. The thesis is divided into five parts, the introduction part combs the related research of the rural novels in East Zhejiang, and finds that the research of this field from the aspect of rural social morphology is insufficient. The first chapter studies the power struggle in the Rural Society of eastern Zhejiang. From the perspective of power and violence,it can clearly see the strong clan rule in the south and the local policies of the National Government of the Republic of China And the thought of Democratic Revolution had a great influence on the politics of eastern Zhejiang."clan fighting","BAOJIA system" and "Rural Revolution" are representative in the modern history of eastern Zhejiang, showing the different manifestations of power in the thirty years from the Revolution of 1911 to the Second Sino-japanese War As well as East Zhejiang writers with the changes of the times to make a different understanding of violent resistance. The second chapter discusses the impact of capitalist invasion on rural economy in eastern Zhejiang.Due to its geographical conditions and historical causes,Zhejiang has been strongly impacted by capitalism. Therefore, economic problems have become an important theme in the local novels of East Zhejiang. With the rise of modern transportation, the rural labor force began to export to the cities, but for the rural interior, the capital economy created difficulties for small producers, and the rural living environment continued to deteriorate. The rural novels in East Zhejiang show the social situation that the capitalist invasion causes the disorganization of the urban and rural areas and forces the bankruptcy of the rural economy. In addition, the authors not only write about the changes in the economic landscape, but also devote themselves to exposing the alienation of rural humanity by the capital economy. The third chapter studies the changes of rural social interpersonal relationship in east Zhejiang. In the situation of political and economic change, the status of Rural Gentry, human society and women's living environment have changed.Under the influence of the closed cultural environment and the changing social reality, the rural Gentry, under the threat of the emerging forces, renews themselves and gradually withdraws from the historical stage In the new economic situation, rural family relations have also changed, women on the one hand by the more severe oppression of ethics,on the other hand, access to a new way out,but the future is not optimistic. The conclusion part summarizes that the rural society in East Zhejiang has the dual character of feudalism and modernity, the rural people stick to the traditional ethics, but passively or consciously accept the industrial civilization and the Democratic Revolution Thought. The multiple contradictions contained in the rural areas of eastern Zhejiang have made it possible for the authors of Local novels to examine the national character.By constructing their inner "hometown world",they have witnessed the continuous blending of the old customs and the new world in the rural history of eastern Zhejiang This is the cultural and aesthetic significance of the modern eastern Zhejiang local novels.
