Saint-Sa?ns(1835-1921)was an outstanding musician of the 19 th century and founded the French National Music Association.Op.167 is a work on the eve of his death and one of the few in his life.The work was successfully premiered by the famous clarinet player,Pierce.< clarinet and Piano Sonata > op.167 has a novel musical structure,which has laid a very far-reaching influence on the creation of music in the late Romantic period,with many technical difficulties.The style of music has changed greatly and is a must-have for every clarinet player.Clarinet sonata occupies an important position.This paper will be divided into three parts: the first part explores and analyzes the basic musical patterns of Saint-Sa?ns "Clarinet and Piano Sonata" op.167(in terms of structure,tonal layout).The second part analyzes the works with theme,intensity and rhythm.The third part studies the texture relationship and style between piano vocal part and clarinet in the works,in order to better understand the composer's creative elements,motivation,make the correct interpretation,and combined with their own performance experience,put forward some views.Recommendations Hope to the performer in-depth understanding and interpretation of the work has a certain help.
