Chinese Folklore.Peking rhymes was collected by Baron Guido Vitale,an Italian diplomat who came to China.First published in 1896,it is also known as "Beijing nursery rhymes","Beijing singing","Chinese folklore" and so on.A total of 1 70 children’s ballads widely spread in China are collected and published in bilingual form.It is the earliest collection of Beijing children’s ballads collected, sorted and translated by foreigners. The research on Chinese Folklore.Peking rhymes is mainly carried out from the following perspectives:(1)content and its choreography:Chinese Folklore.Peking rhymes includes cover, title page, introduction on preface, index,Peking baby-songs five parts, adopt the horizontally, besides PREFACE to use handwritten, adopt block, the rest of the body parts were recorded 170 nursery rhyme, each nursery rhyme mainly includes three parts, the Chinese original,Notes and Translations. In addition, the 170 children’s songs can be divided into nine parts according to the content, which are:games, life, knowledge, funny, entertainment, customs, lullabies, faith and politics. The most collected children’s songs are life songs, followed by funny children’s songs and funny children’s songs, and the least collected are knowledge children’s songs, lullabies and political children’s songs(2)vocabulary study:through word segmentation of Chinese Folklore.Peking rhymes,a total of 5,940 words appeared. From the perspective of syllables, the words in Chinese Folklore.Peking rrhymes are mainly monosyllables, which are mostly found in the verb part.Disyllabic and polysyllabic words are mostly distributed in the noun part and scattered in other parts of speech. The infants of syllables mainly occur at the end of the word, and the proportion of infants in the words is low.In addition, most nouns are erhua, and the erhua of other parts of speech often has some syntactic or semantic limitations. The frequency distribution of parts of speech also presents certain characteristics, which are:the main words are notional words, few function words; The substantive part is dominated by noun and verb, and the adjective is concrete and sensible.Function words are mainly auxiliary words with few conjunctions. The noun part can best embody the characteristics of Beijing folk culture.Such characteristics are closely related to the audience of Chinese Folklore.Peking rhymes, which is embodied in children’s language acquisition order and limited cognitive ability.(3)translation and overseas dissemination:this part is mainly studied by comparing with Chinese Mother Goose Rhymes’,a nursery Rhymes collection collected by Isaac Taylor Headland,an American missionary in the same period.Due to the differences in writing purpose, target readers and arrangement, the two translators have different characteristics in translation style.Although many translations of Beijing nursery rhymes can help Chinese native speakers understand the content and main idea of nursery rhymes, there are some shortcomings such as "the translation is no longer ’ballad"’,"omission of translation","translation burden","translation corruption" and so on.In addition, compared with Chinese Mother Goose Rhymes in the same period,C’hinese Folklore.Peking rhymes has little influence in foreign countries. This has something to do with the place and company where the books were published, the purpose of their creation and the target audience, and the way they were arranged. On this basis, combined with Lasswell’s "5W"model,this paper puts forward some feasible suggestions on the overseas communication of Chinese culture from the perspectives of transmitter, message, media, receiver and effect.
