In today's society of cultural globalization,foreign cultures and thoughts have brought huge impacts and challenges to China's local civilization.The fierce competition of "soft power" between countries has aroused people's sense of responsibility for cultural protection and inheritance.As an ancient civilization with more than 5,000 years of history and culture,China has a vast territory,numerous ethnic groups and splendid folk culture.Folklore is not only an important part of Chinese culture,but also the unique material and spiritual wealth of a region and ethnic group.Therefore,the record of folk culture is of great value both at the national level and in the eyes of the public.To realize the value of folk culture,folk customs should be brought into public view.Anthropological documentaries,as one of the record carriers of folk culture,have the dual attributes of science and art.They present the folk behaviors by video and audio in their unique ways,and select representative ethnic folk elements to spread the culture with regional characteristics.This article embarks from the anthropology documentary dimensions of Chinese folk culture art performance,with existing folk custom content and graduate work in anthropology documentary "the festival atmosphere" as the research object,from the concept of creation tendency,narrative position,investigation and produced three aspects,trying to explain how is folk culture anthropology documentary art performance.Based on the analysis of the folk content presented in the film and the context of the current era,this paper explores the innovation and dilemma of the expression of Chinese folk culture and art in anthropological documentaries.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part defines the core concepts and research objects of the paper,and briefly reviews the development of anthropological documentaries.The second part mainly discusses the presentation patterns of folk culture in anthropological documentaries,namely,the interaction and coordination of human and nature,human and society,and human and themselves,which constitute the patterns of folk culture.The third part explores the role of anthropological films in recording and inheriting folk culture,and makes relevant analysis on its original ecological record and rescue,aesthetic display and inheritance and communication.The art of Chinese folk culture in the fourth part anthropology documentary show part is the focus of this article research,through to the film creation idea tendency,the narrative position,made the research in three aspects: the research,put forward about the "real","subjective" and "objective" perspective,the field work,such as discussions,and clear which of these artistic techniques is worth advocating,which need to evade.The fifth part,combined with the changes of times,mainly explains the innovation brought by digital technology to the expression of Chinese folk culture and art in anthropological documentaries,and points out the problems faced by the expression of Chinese folk culture and art in anthropological documentaries.Through the research in the above chapters,the conclusion is drawn that the artistic expression of folk culture in anthropological documentaries should be moderate artistic creation on the basis of scientific principles.The folk culture in Chinese anthropological documentaries is not only presents the behavior itself,but also records the historical changes and the evolution of ethnic groups.
