The Studies On Sun Cong’s Comments On ZuoZhuan

Sun Cong was a bibliophile and litterateur of Kangxi period.In his early years,he considered himself a hermit and specializing in reading and writing books.He is good at commenting on collection books.The anthology of his collection and his anthology of poems are named his "Shan Xiao Ge".His book Shan Xiaoge selected Ancient works is about works from ZuoZhuan to the end of the Tang and Song prose.Of them,Sun Cong selected 134 pieces of ZuoZhuan,with four volumes,which was very popular.Both the interpretation of righteousness and the comment on the narrative content of ZuoZhuan are on their own unique innovation points.As a critical work of ZuoZhuan in the late Ming Dynasty and early Qing Dynasty,it not only inherited the theories and methods of criticism by scholars such as Tang Shunzhi,Sun Yu,Chen Renxi,Wang Shizhen,Zhong Xing,JinShengtan,while having an profound effect on the creation of later literati with their own unique evaluation characteristics.Thus,Sun Cong played an important role in the commentary history of ZuoZhuan.But the current research has showed that only Wang Jianyu’s master’s thesis,Sun Cong and his Literary Studies,is a special article about Sun Cong and his works.There are a few scholars in other periods in the study of ZuoZhuan commentary works slightly involved,but did not carry out in-depth exploration.This article starts with Sun Cong himself,takes his time as the background and the comment content as the basis,teasing out from the evaluation technical method,the appraisal content,the appraisal characteristics respectively,intuitively presenting the track of his life and the study of his main works.At the same time,the ideological and cultural content contained in ZuoZhuan by Sun Cong is excavated.This thesis consists of five parts:In the first chapter,the author briefly introduces the life,travel experience and works of Sun Cong to show the historical track of the hermit Sun Cong.On the basis of reviewing works,this paper summarizes the characteristics of evaluation from three aspects: content,form and value.At the same time,every work must be marked with the times.Based on the changes in the position of ZuoZhuanitself,combining with the political,economic and cultural characteristics of the Qing Dynasty,this paper summarizes the characteristics of Sun Cong’s review of ZuoZhuan to prepare for the further study of Sun Zong’sZuoZhuan.The second chapter begins with Sun Cong’s comments on ZuoZhuan,and sums up the types and forms of comments combined with the basic theories of commentary.This paper discusses Sun Cong’s comments on different characters in ZuoZhuan,and comments on history.On this basis,I makes a deep exploration of the causes of the evaluation criteria of characters.Combined with the external environment of the times,the thesis conducts the overall discussion of the relationship of classics,history,learning.At the same time,in the narration of ZuoZhuan,the comments on "ambush","transition","eye" and "intermittent" are analyzed one by one,and the flash points of their comments are explored in the process of analysis.In the third chapter,the method of Sun Cong’s comment on ZuoZhuan is studied,and the most distinctive methods are two: one is the method of eight strands.Sun Cong used the method of eight-part current texts to the extreme,and discussed the terms,layout and language of the comments respectively.The second is the law of listing shares,whose feature is mainly reflected in Sun Cong’s essay features and chapter framework.The research on Sun Cong’s evaluation method reveals his unique evaluation standards and ideas,the breakthrough to tradition and his own innovation.The fourth chapter reviews Sun Cong’s commentary on ZuoZhuan starting from the nuance,coordinating the whole book and summarizing the characteristics of ZuoZhuan from the aspects of content,style and innovation,and concludes that there are three characteristics of ZuoZhuan.First,Sun Cong’s comments on ZuoZhuan are characterized by " tidy words with deep meaning,simple and Profound flavor taste".Secondly,Sun Cong pursued the fine,strict,elegant and tight style in the literary style.Third,although a member of the retro trend,Sun Cong’s comments on ZuoZhuan show the flexibility of the retro style.Sun Cong’s comments not only serve the imperial examination of scholars,but also promote his inner self-cultivation.The spirit of ancient theory is strong,while the spirit of "being inferior to the present" is not obvious.At the same time,influenced by the Buddhist from his early age,Sun Cong’s works show the thought of Confucianism and Buddhism.The conclusion part mainly summarizesthe significance of sun cong’scommentary in the History of ZuoZhuan,At the same time,it summarizes its innovation and shortcomings.
