Jiang Shaoshu And Wu Sheng Shi Shi: A Study Of Some Historical Issues

Jiang Shaoshu was a more influential painting historian and collector in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties.He wrote the first complete history of Ming Dynasty paintings," Wu Sheng Shi Shi." This paper intends to focus on the direction that the predecessors seldom discussed or misunderstood,mainly from three perspectives to analyze and discuss Jiang Shaoshu's painting history writing and art collection activities.Chapter one discusses the family background and life of Jiang Shaoshu,focusing on discerning the doubtful and misunderstanding in the family lineage,birth and death years,name and growth process of Jiang Shaoshu.In the second chapter,the author studies Jiang Shaoshu's works.This paper chooses the editions of Wu Sheng Shi Shi and Yun shi Zhai Bi Tan to spread,the sources of historical materials,the compilation methods and artistic concepts of Jiang Shaoshu's History of Silent Poetry.Chapter three,focusing on Jiang Shaoshu's art collection activities,takes Jiang Shaoshu's contacts with contemporary collectors,Jiang Shaoshu's art collection,collection activities and collection opinions as the scope of discussion.
