As our country puts forward the One Belt and One Road Initiative,the government will contribute to develop the friendly relationship with our surrounding countries.Malaysia is in the strategic location,which is of much meaning.What's more,pragmatic competence of language learners is becoming more and more important and to apply language to communicate with others is becoming the final goal of language learning.As a result,We want to make investigation to the studying of the speech act of request by language learners from Malaysia and give some advice on how to learn Chinese well after getting to know their culture.Based on Speech Act Theory,Illocutionary Forces,Politeness Strategies and Face Threatening Act,we carried out our research to the overseas students from Malaysia and the Chinese native speakers though DCT and individual interview.The investigation is divided into five parts.The first is to show the pragmatic competence of the Malaysian students from the three aspects,the alerter,head act and supportive moves.The second is to explore whether the Malaysian students is sensitive to the change of social variable and make a comparison to the Chinese learners.The third is to explore whether the malaysia students can figure out the difference between the request and invitation.The fourth,we want to explore why these Malaysia students have such language behaviors.The last part,we want to raise some advice on how to learn Chinese well.We have such conclusions.Except the head act of the speech act of request and invitation,Malaysia students,language performance in aspect of alerter and supportive moves is not as good as that of Chinese students.The change of the social situation is the main reason why the requesters change their language behaviors.Malaysia students are able to figure out the difference between the request and invitation.Malaysia students' language performance speech act is influenced by their language proficiency,Chinese culture and Malaysia culture,personality and pragmatic strategy and so on.According to such conclusions,we have some advices on the chinese learning.To apply chinese language to communicate is closely related to the chinese language level,so what's the most important is to help students raise their language level.The teacher should pay attention to the politeness remark chunk in class and they had better to reform those chunks of students for several times.The teacher had better to lead those Malaysian students to accept the chinese culture step by step and help them to build the Third Space where different cultures can get along well with each other.The teachers have to stress the practice on the general communicating situation so that the Malaysian students can react to the real communcation situation fluently.
