Bangladesh was founded independently in 1971.In 1975,Bangladesh established diplomatic relations with the people's Republic of China.Since then,Bangladesh-China relations have become increasingly close. At present,Bangladesh is an important responder and participant of China's "Belt and Road Initiative" initiative and the construction of the economic corridor between Bangladesh,China,Myanmar and India. The vast majority of Bangladesh's population is Muslim, and Yunnan Province, which is close to Bangladesh in geography, has many Muslim Hui ethnic groups. Therefore,a comparative study of Islam and its influence on the believers in the two places can be used as a cross-reference to promote the history and culture of the ethnic groups in the two places.Research and understanding will lay a more solid foundation for mutual trust between China and Bangladesh,to achieve "the understanding between the hearts of peoplef",and to promote the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative.Although some scholars have conducted studies on Islam in China and abroad, and some scholars have also discussed about the relationship between China and Bangladesh, the vast majority of the achievements are still based on China and various provinces, regions(including Yunnan)and Bangladesh to study their history, politics, economy, culture and so on.Few scholars have studied the historical and cultural similarities and differences between Bangladesh and China. In view of this, this thesis focuses on Islam and its influence and makes a contrastive study on the history and culture between Bangladesh and China, taking Yunnan Province in China as a typical example and taking Islam and its influence as the main theme. This paper collects and draws lessons from the relevant research results of China,Bangladesh and some western academic circles, and makes some use of the investigation materials and local chronicles of China.Combined with ??own observations and feelings as a Bangladeshi student studying in Yunnan, this paper makes a preliminary study on this theme. The thesis is divided into three chapters, which primarily expounds and discusses the background and history of the development of Islam in Bangladesh and Yunnan Province in China,Islamic education in both places,Muslim life under the influence of Islam, and so on.On the basis of comparison, the historical development of Islam in Bangladesh and China is summarized as far as possible, and at last pointed out that we should seek common ground while reserving differences on the existing basis and strengthen Cross-cultural exchanges to promote the new development of relations between the two countries under the Belt and Road Initiative.
