As a feminist perspective,the gender perspective aims to reveal the disadvantaged situation of women and affirm their knowledge,experience,emotion and values.From the perspective of gender,this paper analyzes the situation of female teachers in modern Britain and discusses the influence of gender concept on the career of female teachers,so as to promote the more equal and full development of female teachers.The development of modern British education gave birth to a group of outstanding female teachers.In the middle ages,female teachers were held by religious personages.Since the mid-17 th century,women’s education has attracted extensive attention from all walks of life.the establishment of all kinds of women’s schools has increased the demand for teachers,the development of women’s education has cultivated some potential female teachers.In the 18 th century,with the development of social economy,the change of traditional concept and the promotion of feminists,Women can finally show their talents in the field of education.The concept of gender has become deep-rooted.British women in the 17 th and 18 th centuries still cannot receive formal education and higher education,and cannot enter public schools.As a result,the professional ability of female teachers was relatively insufficient,and their social status and economic treatment could not reach that of male teachers.But the important role of women teachers in British education at that time could not be ignored.18 th century female teachers independently founded business school springing up in all parts of Britain,Their involvement in the business field is a huge challenge to their gender concept.Their achievements are not only reflected in the remarkable achievements of running schools,but more importantly in the public domain.they provide a large number of employment opportunities and show the great potential of women,objectively promote the development of British women’s education.Under the influence of social culture at that time,the gender mechanism that males dominated the public sphere and female-dominated family,making female teachers in public education were not universally recognized by society,and the influence of gender in their careers was extensive.their achievements and contributions are often ignored,and minor defects are abnormally magnified.To a certain extent,the existence of defects is the result of gender differences.
