The rapid promotion of online social networks and the unprecedented enthusiasm of Internet users have led to a sharp increase in user-generated content.User-generated content has become the most important source of information for online social networking platforms.Understanding the behavior behind the various user-created content is a challenging task.As a typical intrinsic factor,personality traits have been widely used to explain user-generated content behavior in online social networks.Therefore,this paper intends to explore the impact of user's personality traits on usergenerated content.Based on the data of Facebook,this paper studies the impact of personality traits on user-generated content in online social networks and the moderating effect of user social network characteristics between personality and user-generated content.This paper firstly puts forward the research model and hypothesis based on the Big Five personality theory and audience effect theory,then extracts four aspects of text features: topic preferences,expression patterns,sentiment states,cognition styles.Then,this paper uses statistical analysis to examine the effect of personality on four aspects of text features mined from user-generated content and the moderating effect of the number of friends and circle types.The experimental results show that personality traits have an impact on topic preferences,expression patterns,sentiment states,cognition styles.The impact of different personality traits is different.In the online social networks,for users with different number of friends,the personality traits have different effects on topic preferences,expression patterns,sentiment states,cognition styles.For users in different circles,the personality traits have different effects on topic preferences,expression patterns,sentiment states,cognition styles.
