The Transformation Of Design's Functionality And Existed Design Form In Art

The starting point of the research in this paper is that,in the application of "found object" in the art field,the practical value of the daily necessities themselves was neglected,the "functionality" of the objects is removed,and they were considered as "media" to simply complete the artistic interpretation.By presenting the daily necessities as the "Designed Objects" and making art creation to their functionalities,the original function and original appearance of the object are returned,making it become part of the main body of the "found objects" art creation.This paper proposed the functional impact of design on life and culture from the development of art design and the historical relationship between design and creation,then explored Duchamp's thinking on various aspects of found objects,and the found object materialization of ready-made objects from everyday objects to "existing forms of design" in the history of art and design.The paper then analyzed the artists and designers who use the found materials as the main creative material,discussing the transformation and play of the roles of "found objects" and "functionality" of objects in the two fields of art and design.The viewpoints on the creation of contemporary art in this paper have also extracted from a large number of art and design works,which can be divided into three directions:(1)Changing where and when the objects appear,but retaining the original function of the objects.(2)Abandoning the imitation of the appearance of the objects,but extracting the function of the objects as the creative materials.(3)While preserving the symbolic meaning of the original function of the objects,trying to make changes in the visual appearance of the objects.To finding the channel through which art and design communicate with each other is the purpose of this study.
