The animal documentary has a great value.The relationship among animal groups,the relationship between humans and animals,and the relationship between humans and the environment explored in animal documentary transcends the film language itself and triggers humans thinking about life,emotion,and existence.The narration of documentary plays an important role in the textual expression and theme expression of the documentary.This thesis attempts to enrich the research results of the narration of animal documentary by studying the representative works of animal documentary,Jacques Perrin's"Sea,Land and Air Trilogy".At the same time,I also hope to explore the narration of animal documentary with practical guidance.This thesis is divided into four chapters.The first chapter introduces the research background and significance,reviews the existing research,and expounds the research methods and the framework of the thesis.The second chapter studies the narration of Jacques Perrin's" Sea,Land and Air Trilogy?".After discussing the narrative texts of Jacques Perrin's" Sea,Land and Air Trilogy ":Oceans,Winged Migration,Seasons,the theme of the Trilogy is discussed.The third chapter studies the narrative mode of Jacques Perrin's"Sea,Land and Air Trilogy " from four aspects:narrative language,narrative structure,narrative perspective and narrative style.The fourth chapter looks into the development of Chinese animal documentary through the study of Jacques Perrin's" Sea,Land and Air Trilogy ".Firstly,it analyzes the current status of the creation of Chinese animal documentary,and then proposes the enlightenment and prospects for the development of Chinese animal documentary from three aspects:theme expression,narrative style and communication strategy.
