Kant is a philosopher who can not be bypassed in the history of philosophy.Kant also occupies an important position in the vision of French philosopher Deleuze, who has published a book on Kant's research:Kant's Critical Philosophy.Deleuze reexamines Kant's three critiques from the perspective of faculty. In the field of cognition,Kant holds that imagination acts as an intermediary to synthesize phenomena, understanding legislates, and reason provides the guarantee of wholeness and universality.Deleuze believes that although this scheme provides legitimacy for knowledge,it is still the mode of thinking reproduction object in essence. This pattern of identity leads to the neglect of differences, and he shows the real world of differences through reinterpretation of the comprehensive process. In the field of morality,Kant holds that reason establishes absolute moral principles, understanding determines normative practical possibilities by analogy;and imagination acts as a mediator for the perceptual world to accept the influence and consequences of super-perceptual ideas.Deleuze believes that the moral principles and ways of realization ultimately lead to the suppression of human beings.Through reinterpretation of desire,he constructed a positive internal ethic. In the field of aesthetics,Kant holds that aesthetics builds a bridge between nature and freedom.Beauty does not have its absolute significance, but exists in the role of serving the whole rational system.Deleuze's analysis of Francis Bacon's paintings indicates that the sensation is not the subject's stress response and emotional change, but the continuous state of formation.Only in the sensation can the artist cast aside the shackles of thinking mode, social culture and moral emotion to creation.Generally speaking,Kant's philosophy is a peak of Western identity philosophy. He constructed a huge rational system in which reason, understanding and imagination cooperate in an orderly manner, and its essence is still the philosophy of representation;Deleuze shows us more authentic differences of duration and becoming by expounding the concepts of quantity, intensity, desire and sensation. But we also need to know that although they are essentially different,Deleuze transcends the philosophy of identity with the concept of differences, but his attitude towards Kant's thought is not totally denial. On the contrary,we need to pay attention to Kant's internal influence on Deleuze's thought.
