The focus of the study is not the successive evolution of “Banshan Lixia” but the reproduction of folklore culture and the driving force of folklore inheritance in modern urban society. We aim to review it by investigating the process of Solar Terms turning into festivals. The details of some customs inherited or changed through the course are indeed what we have spared no effort to present though, what we are more concerned about is always what kind of inherited life people as actors are running.Regard the transformation from “Beginning of Summer” Solar Term to festival as a stage during the inherited process, successively and coexistensively combined with the observation of interaction and mutual construction between human beings and customs,we are able to understand this social action which was attached meanings. The first part is an overall introduction to the space of the festival, from the perspectives of humanity and geography. In part 2,through literature review, the author classifies and lists what she has collected to know more about Lixia(the day“Beginning of Summer”)customs in Zhejiang area, where exists quite written records. As what is shown in part 3,has participated in and thus observed the two Lixia-Festival activities in 2017 and 2018,the author leads us to learn the folklore activities on the day of “Beginning of Summer” after it has become as a festival.By restoring, absorbing, using references, reconstructing and innovating on basis of traditions, the folklore events would be bridges between the past, the present and the future. The key part(part 4)focuses on the people involved in the festival construction, therefore to discuss the inherited force led by all parties in the field of folklore reproduction. While taking into account the holism of previous festival studies, the paper starts with the perspective of individual studies and concentrates on the analysis of how three folklore elites as actors internalized their life experience into the festival construction to play their respective roles;and how to reconstruct themselves via participating in festival events and furthermore, externalize into special roles under festival situations. The last part points out that even in cities full of heterogeneity, mobility and diversity, the dynamics of folklore lay more emphasis on horizontal connection. However, after the analysis of the above three people,it can also be seen that there is a force of family cultural revival hidden behind the transformation from solar terms into festivals in this field.
