In the study of music in the Song Dynasty, literary materials such as Song poetry are often neglected, and no special researchers have been found. The value of historical materials of music and dance needs to be developed. The large-scale collection of poems,“SONGSHICHAO”,records more than 12,000 poems written by scholars in the Song Dynasty, with excellent texts and meticulous proofreading, basically reflecting the appearance of Song poetry,This paper takes it as the research object, compiles and collates the historical materials of music and dance, and then analyses and discusses the music life and aesthetics of literati groups in Song Dynasty. The full text is divided into three parts:introduction, body and conclusion. The full text is divided into three parts: introduction, body and conclusion. The introduction mainly explains the origin of writing, the significance of topic selection, research methods and research status of this paper. The main text is divided into three chapters: Chapter I,Text Review of “SONGSHICHAO”.The edition of“SONGSHICHAO” is sorted out,its structure is analyzed, and the editor is briefly introduced.Secondly, the compiled music and dance historical materials are counted according to the personal poetry collection.Chapter II,Classification of Music and Dance Historical Materials and Interpretation of Its Contents in “SONGSHICHAO”.This paper divides the contents of historical materials into five categories: musical instruments, music, music human beings, dance and music activities. It shows the basic situation by means of quantitative statistics, proportion analysis and interpretation of poems and writings.Chapter III,“SONGSHICHAO” reflects the music life and aesthetics of Song Dynastyliterati. This paper expounds the music life of literati in Song Dynasty centered on "elegant gathering, feasting, entertainment","making friends and seeking intimate friends","cultivating oneself and expressing one's feelings".It also analyses the aesthetic tendency of literati in Song Dynasty to combine elegance with vulgarity, the aesthetic ideal of placidity and tranquility, and the aesthetic consideration of Confucianism and Taoism. In the conclusion part, this paper points out that poetry,as a literary material to express emotion and ambition, seems to be unrelated to music research on the surface, but in fact it is not.Poetry records what literati saw, heard and felt. From the perspective of literati,it reflects all aspects of ancient society and is more real and vivid, which is in sharp contrast to the official historical materials written by historians. In addition, literati,as the first subject, can not be replaced by other historical materials because of the life state and aesthetic characteristics reflected by poetry as a medium.Analogy to music research is the same. From Song Dynasty literati poems,we can collect a lot of music and dance historical materials sporadically, and even find new historical materials. These music and dance historical materials also more intuitively and accurately reflect the literati music life and music aesthetics.Through the analysis of the historical materials of music and dance in“SONGSHICHAO”,the author points out that the literati in Song Dynasty basically maintained the temperament and style of the former literati, mainly "elegance",and still pursued the realm of elegance and refinement in Humanities and morality. On the other hand, the prostitute music culture in Song Dynasty was flourishing, and the literati could not avoid vulgarity. In the process of physiological and emotional vention, the beauty of prostitute music could better meet their needs. Therefore, the collation and analysis of music and dance historical materials in “SONGSHICHAO” provides a new perspective for future generations to understand the music culture of Song Dynasty, and also allows future generations to peep into more details of the music life of Song Dynasty.
