As older adults population constantly grows, the degree of aging of the society has gradually deepened. Therefore, there are more problems caused by aging. In recent years, older adults is deceived. Therefore, the problem of deception of older adults has become the focus of researchers.Stransers fraud accounts for 50%of the total fraud cases,so why do older adults easily believe in strangers? As an important medium in the process of interpersonal communication, the face is also a part of the important information provided by older adults when they first communicate with strangers.Relevant researches in Western countries found that the evaluation of the trust of older adults on strange faces is generally higher than that of strangers.Do older adults in the context of Eastern collectivism culture tend to believe in stransers? At the same time,do older adults have different processing patterns when dealing with strange faces, which makes older adults tend to believe in strangers? These lack empirical evidence. Therefore, this study uses eye movement tracking technology,to record the eye movement characteristics of older adults in the face trust judgment,to explore the characteristics of the strange face processing,to provide some theoretical support for preventing older adults from being deceived through two experiments. This study consists of two experiments. In first experiment, the face images produced by the software are used to test the young people and older adults, respectively, mainly to test whether there is a difference in the evaluation of face trust between older adults and young people in China, and whether it is easier to believe strangers. The results of first experiment show that older adults's trust score on untrusted faces is significantly higher than that of young people, indicating that older adults are more likely to believe in strangers. The second experiment is divided into two parts. The first part uses the eye movement tracking technology to examine the visual perception processing characteristics of the trusted and untrusted face pictures by older adults. The second part is the recognition experiment of face pictures,to examine the memory of older adults for trust faces and untrustworthy faces, and to further verify whether older adults are more likely to remember the trusted faces.Second experiment found that in older adults stage of visual processing, both the old and the young subjects had processing preferences for trusted faces, and paid attention to the number of first gaze points for trusted images. The number of first gaze times and gaze time are more than untrustworthy faces, while in the later stages of processing, older adults pay more attention to trusted faces than younger ones, with more total gaze times and lon5ger gaze time. The results of the recognition experiment also found that the memory of the trusted face of older adults is significantly better than that of the untrustworthy face, while the yourm people have better memory of the untrustworthy face.Based on the results of the first and second experiments,we found that older adults have the following characteristics in the evaluation of trust in faces with different trust:(1)compared with young people, older adults have higher evaluation of untrusted faces. They are easier to believe that faces are evaluated as untrusted;(2)older adults have a processing preference for trusted faces, higher attention to trusted faces, and a processing advantage of trusted faces;(3)older adults have better memory for trusted faces and show a memory advantage of a trusted face.
