Music Study Of Wang Lisan’s "Children’s Heart Collection"

Wang Lisan(1933-2013)is an outstanding Chinese composer,music educator and music theorist in the 1950s.With his unique composing style,his works have become an extremely important part of the development of Chinese music,and he is also known as one of the representative composers of Chinese piano music since the reform and opening up.In recent years,Mr.Wang Lisan’s creating path and achievements have been focused and widely praised by the musicians.However,the analysis and evaluation of Wang Lisan’s specific works are not enough.Most of the analysis are limited to "Orchid Flower","Tashan Collection","Painting Mood of Kaii Higashiyama","Sonatas","The Poetic Two" and "In the Sunlight" and the rest of his works are merely mentioned in certain articles.In light of this situation,the author specially selected Wang Lisan’s"Children’s Heart Collection" as the research object to explore its value and significance."Children’s Heart Collection" is a work that Wang Lisan created during the Cultural Revolution and covered a wide range of contents.Although the creation started in 1973-1974,it was finalized in 2007,which took the longest time among all his works.The artistic conception is profound which can be considered as short but sophisticated.It contains all the creating techniques commonly used by composers,and some opuscula maintain specific connection.Therefore,this thesis attempts to use "Children’s Heart Collection" as the research object,through the historical period of the creation of this work and combining with the personal character and experience of the composer,to perform a comprehensive and detailed music analysis of this work(including melody style,music structure,harmony mode,etc.)and explore its practical significance.The purpose is to provide corresponding materials for the music study of Wang Lisan’s works by helping people further understand Wang Lisan’s music creation and its characteristics.In the last part of the thesis,the method of playing and the method of using the pedals are given.Through the combination of practice and theory,the work is further promoted,which expands the corresponding selection of Chinese music.
