An Analysis On The Musical And Singing Features Of Jasmine Flower,A Folk Song In Changshan County,Shandong Province

The folk song of Jasmine Flower is not only popular in China,but also enjoys a long reputation around the world,which has almost become a symbol of traditional Chinese culture.It has been a research topic for some scholars since the 1980 s.According to the previous researches,there are nearly a hundred existing versions of the song,each of which has its own distinct styles and characteristics.In addition to the influences from regional dialects,factors that contribute to those styles and characteristics also include geographical environment and historical culture,etc.By comparing and contrasting,this paper carries out an analysis on the music ontological factors,which includes the tune and lyrics,and objective factors including geographical characteristics and dialects,aiming to show the musical and singing features of Jasmine Flower,a song popular in Changshan County,Shandong Province.
