The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction of Kabat-Zinn is very popular in the field of contemporary psychology,and it has a deep connection with Buddhism's meditation techniques.This study is intended to deeply analyze the Buddhist factors and the value of times of his therapy,by the methods of religious studies,combining theory with practice,psychology and sociology.This study first describes the background and causes,the form and concept of operation,the development process and contemporary influence of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.Secondly,this paper will analyze Kabat-Zinn's therapy,the Vipassana Meditation of Mahasi Sayadaw and the Chinese Zen Buddhism,to demonstrate their commonalities in the ideas and methods.The argument is embodied in two aspects.In the first part,through the analysis of the Buddhist texts and the concept and operation method of the Vipassana Meditation of Mahasi Sayadaw,meanwhile including the ccurrent related practical activities,to discusses the influence of Mahasi Sayadaw on Kabat-Zinn.In the second part,through the analysis of the Chinese Zen cases and practice methods,to discusses Kabat-Zinn's reference to the practice and spirit of the Chinese Zen.Finally,by the perspective of religious sociology,to summarize the universal characteristics of Buddhist meditation in operational technology,and further to discussess the Buddhist secularization problem presented by the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and its practical application value in the current rational society.
