With the development of the curriculum reform,the new curriculum reform has brought new challenges to teachers.These challenges mainly include educational concepts,teaching behavior and teachers' roles.The curriculum reform has higher requirements for teachers.And teachers' desire for professional development is becoming more urgent.Meanwhile,collective preparation for teaching plans is the main form of the current preparation for teaching plans for senior high school English teachers.Collective preparation for teaching plans' function is simple and its emphasis is on teaching design,homework design,unified teaching schedule and so on.The formalization is very obvious and teachers are lack of peer exchange of democracy and equality.Such kind of preparation for teaching plans can not reflect teachers' personality and the effect is relatively poor.Moreover,its influence on teachers' professional development is limited.Therefore,the theory of teachers' collaboration is put into the practice of teachers' collective preparation for teaching plans to form collaborative preparation for teaching plans,which has a new connotation.It can enrich preparation for teaching plans' content,improve the quality of preparation for teaching plans and promote teachers' professional development more effectively.There are two research questions and six chapters in this thesis.The two research questions are as follows.One is to find out the status quo of collaborative preparation for teaching plans among English teachers in senior high school.The other is to explore whether collaborative preparation for teaching plans promotes English teachers' professional development in senior high school and in which aspects.The six chapters of the thesis are described as follows: Firstly,after analyzing the challenges under the background of new curriculum reform and problems of current preparation for teaching plans,the need and significance of collaborative preparation for teaching plans are presented.Next,the concepts of collaborative preparation for teaching plans and teachers' professional development are defined.By defining the concepts of preparation for teaching plans,collectivepreparation for teaching plans and teachers' collaboration,the thesis finally summarizes the definition of collaborative preparation for teaching plans.Then the social interdependence theory and constructivism theory are considered as the theoretical foundation of collaborative preparation for teaching plans.From the questionnaires and interviews of senior high school English teachers as well as administrative staffs from Ganzhou No.3 Middle School and Ganzhou No.4 Middle School,the status quo of senior high school English teachers' professional development and collaborative preparation for teaching plans are presented.The research also analyzes the main influence of collaborative preparation for teaching plans on senior high school English teachers' professional development and the evaluation of collaborative preparation for teaching plans.By analyzing related data and results,the main conclusions are: one is to expand and update the teachers' professional knowledge;the other is to improve teachers' professional competence.Through the evaluation of collaborative preparation for teaching plans,the difficulties encountered in the implementation of collaborative preparation for teaching plans among senior high school English teachers are presented and some countermeasures are also put forward.For example,teachers should reflect on the collaborative preparation for teaching plans.The school should try to create collaborative culture,strengthen the guidance and supervision of the collaborative preparation for teaching plans.At last,the thesis provides implications for English teachers and school administrators in senior high school,points out the research's limitations and puts forward suggestions for further research.
