Heidegger was trying to overcome the mindset of traditional metaphysics, thus,as an important aspect of his thinking, the study of language saw this endeavor of him.In his later works,Heidegger argues that language can't be talked by daily words, and it's in some way unspeakable, which is determined by the Twofoldness of Being.Hence, there are only some hints of language even in his own statements, like Home of Being, the Saying of Tao.The way to language is the combination of poetry and thinking.Human-beings are used by the language and should listen to the voice of silence of language, thus live in the home built by it.In contrast, earlier Heidegger consider language as Discourse, which is based on Being(Dasein).Discourse speaks itself out by using words and phrases, which is called language.Although there seems to be great differences between Heidegger's earlier and later thinking of language, the inner logic of them is consistent.Firstly, the later critics of Heidegger over traditional language thinking is consistent with it's earlier critics;secondly, there are connections between the two important phrases Discourse and Saying. In analyzing these two words we could see the developments of Heidegger's thinking of language, and how he kept what stroke him in the very beginning.
