Category classifier is an important subsystem of Chinese classifier system and one of the difficulties in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.At present,there are few literatures on the ontology of category classifiers in China,and few studies on the errors of category classifiers by foreign students.In view of this,this paper takes category classifiers as the research object,and based on the Chinese corpus,discusses the typical category classifiers such as "species","category","sample","fan","gate" from the perspective of syntax,semantics and their errors,hoping to have some practical significance in teaching Chinese as a foreign language.The main contents of this paper are as follows:Firstly,in the aspect of ontology research,the typical classifiers are discussed from the aspects of syntax,semantics and pragmatics.For example,there are many nouns and a wide range after "species",and they are mainly collocated with abstract nouns.Generally,it is impossible to collocate with specific nouns with uniqueness.Category has no overlapping usage.Only when the numeral "one" is added before it can it be used as a sentence component alone."Sample" is similar to the generalized "species",which emphasizes the difference between appearance and appearance,and seldom applies to abstract nouns."Fan" is mainly collocated with abstract nouns such as words and painstaking efforts.After "Men",it is mainly connected with nouns such as subject,science,knowledge,art and language.It also has the semantic feature of [+concreteness].It can be collocated with specific nouns.The second is the research aspect of bias.The study of bias is mainly carried out in three aspects: semantics,syntax and pragmatics.The survey found that foreign students are prone to errors such as close confusion,semantic interference bias,written form bias,and omissions and mistakes.These kinds of errors are caused by negative transfer of mother tongue,negative transfer of target language knowledge,use of escape strategies and improper teaching strategies.The third is to propose corresponding teaching suggestions.In response to these errors,we should first strengthen the semantic,syntactic and pragmatic studies of the types of quantifiers.Secondly,it is necessary to continuously improve the teaching materials,such as adding relevant descriptions of the types of quantifiers,increasing the definition of the types of quantifiers,performing different supporting exercises according to different stages,and performing the differentiation exercises and discriminating exercises of the kinds of quantifiers.Finally,it is necessary to improve the teaching strategy,use the contextual teaching method and the comparative teaching method to explain the types of quantifiers,and to consolidate and practice.
