The Research Of Liu Tiren

Liu Tiren(1617-1676),author of Qi Song Tang Ji and man of Yingchuan,Henan(Fuyang,Anhui),is known as courtesy name Gong Yong,and also may be known by the pseudonym(hao),Pu An.He is regarded as one of the Ten Talents with people like Wang Shizhen,Wang Wan,and Shi Runzhang.Born in Liu Family(Tai Qiu),he likes traveling and making friends who are always talent and intelligent.He once was the Director of the Personnel Ministry.This essay will explore his family origin,his friends,literature works,and the influence of time background to his ideas.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is mainly talking about his family background and life experience.There are two characteristics that are related to his family: military exploit and literature works.Military exploit starts from the first generation to the sixth generation,and the seventh generation people in his family start to research literature and get great achievement.Liu Tiren started his literature career in his early time and stepped the official career in 39.When he was 54,he retired and traveled around the country.Due to his great education background and various official career experiences,his literature creation becomes better.The second part is to investigate his making friends and traveling,exploring the reasons,characteristics and the influence according to the traveling targets and condition.There are two kinds of people that Liu Tiren will make friends with.The first are someone who are famous in the last dynasty,like Sun Fengqi,Fu Shan.The others are his peers,like Wang Shizhen,Wang Wan,Ji Dong.Making friends and traveling make great contribution to his literature creation and help him spend his boring time and relieve himself.Moreover,this gathering and traveling broaden his horizon and increase his life experience.The third part is about his poems,analysizing his poems from the perspectives of subject content and the artistic features.There are 408 poems in his Qi Song Tang Ji.From the subject aspect,some poems are about nature,valediction,mourning,and sharing.From the artistic feature,these poems are about lyric expression through scenery,ingenious allusions and group poems.The fourth part is about analyzing his Ci-poetry works through subject content and artistic features.In Shi Yu,there are 11 Chinese Ci-poetries,mainly about present giving,birthday congratulation,and recollections.In Qi Song Tang Ci Yi,he puts forward 33 novel theories about Ci-poetry.For example,the poem and Ci-poetry should be separated and Ci-poetry should be graceful.These theories are useful to the development of Chinese Ci.During his creation,he also follows these theories,which makes his Ci-poetry graceful and elegant.The fifth part is about his proses.There are 106 proses in Qi Song Tang Ji,and most of them are concerning education,mourning,prefaces,and letters writing.From artistic features,these proses concentrate on modification;use dialogues;language rich and varied,and rhythmic.
