Senior English Grammar Teaching and Advanced Thinking Ability are two of the most enduring areas of research.By combining the two,this paper expounds the meaning of developing high-order thinking ability in senior English grammar teaching,and analyzes the difficulty and improvement measures of developing high-order thinking ability in senior English grammar teaching.On the one hand,English grammar teaching in senior high school is an appropriate carrier to cultivate high-order thinking ability,on the other hand,it can effectively promote the implementation of the principles and concepts of English grammar teaching in senior high school.Based on this,literature study,classroom observation and experience summary are the main research methods in this study,This paper discusses how to cultivate higher-order thinking ability in English grammar teaching in senior high schools by taking the excellent examples which the author had observed in the practice as reference and analysis object.The basic frame of this paper is as follows: Firstly,the reason for choosing the topic and the research problem are expounded;This paper summarizes the research status of higher-order thinking ability and grammar teaching at home and abroad.The significance of this research isanalyzed from theory and practice.Secondly,in the part of research design and concept definition,the higher-order thinking,the higher-order thinking ability and the high-school English grammar teaching in the research are expounded in detail.Thirdly,it is the theoretical thinking on how to cultivate the higher-order thinking ability in English grammar teaching in senior high school.It consists of three parts.The first part is about the construction of higher-order thinking ability.The second part expounds the meaning of developing higher-order thinking ability in grammar teaching,The third part summarizes the way to cultivate the higher-order thinking ability in grammar teaching from three aspects: the ability to solve grammar problems,the ability to think critically and the ability to think creatively.Then,it analyzes the difficulty of developing higher-order thinking ability,aiming at combining cases,This paper,from the perspectives of the integration and elaboration of grammar teaching contents,the reflection and evaluation of grammar teaching aims,the activation and application of grammar teaching strategies,has combed out the specific problems of fostering higher-order thinking ability from the perspective of grammar teaching concepts,And from the perspective of grammar teaching principles,this paper analyzes the reasons for the difficulty in developing the higher-order thinking ability.Finally,this study teases out the countermeasures for the improvement of English grammar teaching in senior high schools to cultivate high-order thinkingability.Based on the framework of the cultivation of higher-order thinking ability,a logical and coherent thinking is carried out in the classroom,which further refines the steps of the implementation of grammar teaching in senior high schools based on the cultivation of higher-order thinking ability.Based on the research results of English grammar and the educational ideas related to higher-order thinking ability,this study tries to establish the English grammar teaching theory of fostering higher-order thinking ability,and probes into the difficulties and reasons of the implementation.It further improves the English grammar teaching of fostering higher-order thinking ability,and embodies the basic characteristics and internal rules of English grammar teaching in senior high school which is needed to cultivate higher-order thinking.
