Study On The Characterization Of Unusual Heroes In Lan Xiaolong's Military Trilogy

"Soldier Sally","My chief,My Regiment" and "The Line ",created by Xiaolong Lan,gained great attention and reputation when they were broadcast They were collectively called "Lan Xiaolong 's Military Trilogy" by the media and audience.His works are human-centered and emphatically incarnate humanity instead of personal heroism,which makes the characters more humanistic and becomes another kind of hero in the eyes of the audience.This paper explores the heroic images of military trilogy in three dimensions: character setting,narrative perspectives and shaping reasons,aiming to gain the experience and skills of the playwright to provide some different mindsets on creating drama.This paper is divided into five parts.In the instruction,changes of heroic image in military teleplays since the founding of the People's Republic of China are sorted out to figure out the concrete concept of heroes and the research topic.With the work of the domestic academic community,a survey is conducted on the research results of military trilogy dramas.There are little academic papers on the three works as a whole to study their writing skills,which laid the academic necessity for the writing of this article.Chapter one explores the way to set up the characters of different heroes in her military trilogy in three aspects: character personality,character motivation and character relationship.The writer is good at shaping multi-dimensional character by setting character motivation based on humanity,and building symmetrical and "mentor-hero" character relationship.In Chapter Two,the "individualized" narration of the military Trilogy "epic" is analyzed from two perspectives: the awakening of self-consciousness under collectivism and the presentation of individual fate in military activities.The writer focuses on "individualized" narrative,especially in the growth of individuals under collectivism and their fate under the grand society background.In the third chapter,the reasons for unusual heroes creation are discussed in detail from the view of commerce and art.The writer not only advocates the plot structure of a commercial drama,but also excels in shaping characters to meet the audience's psychological need.Moreover,the characters in the drama also carry writer's world view and values,which is a release of his nature.In conclusion part,a brief summary is given to expound the realistic value and its negative effects of unusual heroic images in contemporary film and television drama creation.
