Investigation And Research On The Needs Of The Older Adults For A Wonderful Life

China has entered the aging stage in an all-round way.It has become a hot issue of concern to the whole country and society to construct a policy system and social environment for the elderly to live a wonderful life,provide for the older adults,depend on the older adults,look forward to the older adults and enjoy themselves.However,As far as the research on the construction of a better life for the elderly in China is concerned,it is in the embryonic stage and needs to be explored and studied by scientific methods.Therefore,what are the needs of the older adults for a wonderful life? Which of these needs is more important and urgent.It is an arduous task and our common duty and obligation to realize a wonderful life for the older adults.In this study,on the premise of referring to other scholars' studies on various aspects of the older adults,the questionnaire "the needs of the older adults for a wonderful life" was adopted.The data obtained were processed and analyzed with SPSS21.0 data statistical software,and 376 randomly sampled elderly people in Nanchang,Ganzhou and Ji 'an of Jiangxi province were studied.Through the survey on the current situation of the older adults' wonderful life,the research results show that:(1)The overall average score of the older adults for a wonderful life is 4.13±1.15;The average score for the happiness of the elderly is 4.28±1.16,the average score for family needs is 3.87±0.99,the average score for self-worth needs is 3.24±0.93,the average score for social needs is 3.16±0.96,the average score for recreational needs is 3.86±1.01,and the average score for community support is 2.98±0.94.(2)There is no significant difference between male and female in the older adults' need for a wonderful life.The needs of older adults in cities for a wonderful life is significantly higher than those of the older adults in countryside.The older adults with children around have significantly higher needs for a wonderful life than those without children(including childless).There is significant differences in the older adults' needs for a beautiful life at different ages.The need of the older adults with pension for a wonderful life is significantly higher than that of the older adults without pension.The need for a wonderful life of the older adults with spouses is significantly higher than that of the elderly without spouses.There is no statistically significant differences in the needs for a wonderful life among the elderly with different education levels,To sum up,the older adults have higher needs for a wonderful life,and there are significant differences in demographic variables.To meet the needs of the older adults for a better life,it is suggested to improve the society,family and individual.From the above analysis and survey,this study puts forward Suggestions to meet the needs of the older adults for a wonderful life.Including the role of the government,community,family,the older adults themselves,vigorously develop community infrastructure,improve the old-age insurance system for the older adults,strengthen the publicity of respect for the older adults publicity efforts,training of professional service team for the older adults,rich elderly living space and other content.
