Philosophical Meditation Of Cultural Confidence

Originated from the humiliation and the struggle of the Chinese nation in morden times,cultural confidence is intertwined with China's “external modernization” and “national characters” and other issues.It was put forward through the joint efforts of several generations of Chinese communists,based on the development of contemporary China and went along with the globalization development.It reflects the cultural value orientation of Marxism and the pursuit of “remaining true to original aspiration,absorbing foreign cultures and facing to the future”.A deep understanding of the basic content of cultural self-confidence in the new era is conducive to enhancing China's cultural soft power,building a socialist cultural power,and constructing a spiritual support for the beautiful vision of building a community of shared future for mankind.This paper is divided into four parts.The first part analyzes the logical connection between cultural consciousness and cultural confidence.Starting from the integration of the definition of "culture" between Chinese and the west,this paper analyzes the progressive relationship from cultural identity to cultural consciousness and then to cultural self-confidence,compares the psychological differences when treating cultural inferiority,cultural conceit and cultural confidence,and emphasizes that cultural self-confidence-based on cultural self-awareness-is the source of strength for a nation to become prosperous and strong.From cultural self-confidence and cultural soft power,the second part discusses why culture is self-confident.The paper holds that the analysis of the dialectical relationship between cultural soft power and cultural self-confidence should start from the discussion of the country's cultural soft power.It promotes the inside information of cultural self-confidence,while cultural self-confidence boosts the development of cultural soft power.The third part is about how to achieve cultural confidence.The realization of cultural self-confidence should be based on “remaining true to original aspiration,absorbing foreign cultures and facing to the future”.“Remaining true to original aspiration” means to stick to our nation's excellent culture.Specifically,it is necessary to adhere to China's excellent traditional culture,the Marxist culture with Chinesecharacteristics and the Party's guidance in the ideological field.“Absorbing foreign cultures” states that foreign cultures should be converted from passive acceptance to active absorption on the basis of “taking our side as the dominant factor”,so as to swallow anything and everything and learn widely from others' strong points.“Facing to the future” is not only an important means for us to realize cultural self-confidence,but also a direction to build cultural self-confidence.To truly make Chinese culture face the world and the future,we should continue to strengthen the construction of a socialist discourse system with Chinese characteristics,adhere to the principle of innovation leading development,advance the construction of Xi Jinping's concept of scientific and technological talents,and promote the development of cultural undertakings and cultural industries.The fourth part illustrates the significance of cultural self-confidence is to realize cultural power and build a community of shared future for mankind.Strengthening cultural self-confidence in the new era will help to realize the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,to build a socialist cultural power,and to enhance China's voice in international exchanges.At the same time,on the basis of the innovative development of the thoughts between China's traditional “great harmony” and the Marxist community,the deep meaning is to build a community of shared future for mankind standing on the position of the common future of mankind.
