Lexical Cohesion In Financial Texts And Its Translation Strategies

The development of international finance has promoted the study on financial translation.This thesis,based on the theory of lexical cohesion,explores specific translation strategies for financial texts.Firstly it introduces the theory of lexical cohesion.Then it analyses different lexical cohesion patterns in the financial texts by exploring the examples from Stability in International Finance.Lastly corresponding translation strategies are proposed such as preserving the cohesive devices,rearranging the cohesive devices,omitting the cohesive devices and addition in the cohesive devices.By taking examples and presenting practical strategies,this thesis aims to provide valuable references for the English-Chinese translation of financial texts.
